We love asking what things turn men off women as the replies are so very passionate! I usually have to elbow Pippa to stop her defending her sex, so read and learn;
1. Women who don't take care of themselves. Yes, I know we have already said that they don't like women caked in make up but what they don't like either is hairy armpits, hairy legs and chipped nail varnish. We have heard the cry over and over again, 'why oh why do women think they only have to shave up to their knees if they've got hairy thighs?' And the argument that if you weren't supposed to have hair there, God wouldn't have put it there, just doesn't wash with men. And moustaches? You have got to be kidding. They need to be sure it is a woman they are kissing and caressing.
2. Needy Norah. Gone are the days when men felt it their duty to look after their wives and girlfriends (thank goodness). He hopes you can look after yourself. He wants a partner, not a burden. And although he will try to be there for you when you need him, he has to feel that you can cope for a few hours on your own. So put down that mobile phone! You don't need to text him every half hour because you think you can't live without him. You can.
3. Hearing about your Ex-Boyfriend. Especially if you're explaining how big he was. We all know how sensitive he is about this. He is thinking to himself, if he was that great, what are you doing with me? He doesn't want something to live up to, he just wants to live. And if you're slagging your ex off, he's thinking, 'Is she always this bitter and twisted? Will she be saying these things about me in a few months?' Either way, it's not good for you.
4. Miss Superficiality When we ask men what they look for in a partner, most of them never mention appearance first. Men are looking for that elusive connection, a spark, someone who can make them laugh, a girl whose world extends beyond manicures and shoes (although it can contain them). She needs to be able to hold her own with his mates (not wipe the floor with them, Pippa!) He wants to feel proud of her and be challenged by her intellect.
5. Overtly Sexual Women. What? I couldn't believe it either. You mean I have to put away my cleavage and Pippa should cover up her legs? Not exactly. They mean women who have no other way of attracting a man. It's the old 'the mind says no but the flesh is weak' scenario. Although men get a physical reaction when women dress a little too slutty, they might even chat up the lady in question, they are not thinking of her as a life partner if that is all she has to offer. Phew! Pass me that corset, I'm not looking for a life partner...
